Medicare Part B

Medicare Part B serves as medical insurance and generally covers outpatient services such as doctor visits, preventive care like screenings and vaccinations, mental health services, certain therapies such as physical and occupational therapy, chemotherapy, and medical equipment like walkers or wheelchairs. Under Part B, beneficiaries are often responsible for 20% of the Medicare-approved costs after the deductible has been met. Enrollment in Part B usually involves a monthly premium.
